An Introduction to Safeguarding Practice Awareness for Staff Working with Young People
Aim
To develop awareness, knowledge and skills in promoting safe and effective practices in relation to the safeguarding and protection of vulnerable young people.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will have:
- shared and discussed issues relating to the abuse of young people
- listened to, read and discussed information about legislation and policy
- gained information on their role and responsibilities in relation to reporting concerns and abuse
- identified local network information to support young people who may have experienced abuse
- utilised a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development.
