What works in…Developing and Improving Recording Skills
Aim
To support practitioners in developing their recording skills; preparing for assessment and developing critical analysis.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- understand and demonstrate the importance of effective and inclusive recording
- understand, identify and demonstrate the development of skills in observation, assessment and analysis and link this to improvements in the production effective recording
- be able to apply knowledge of child development, parenting capacity, family and environment and link this to effective recording and writing of assessments
- use a variety of tools and strategies to support and improve recording and report writing skills
- provide and utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development.
