What works in…Positive Behaviour Management

Aim
To develop knowledge, skills and confidence in dealing with children and young people’s challenging behaviour, whilst empowering them to manage their behaviour effectively.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be
able to:
- discuss and describe aspects of behaviour management interventions
- identify and describe own preferred style of intervention
- identify the emotional implications that a crisis situation has on the worker and be able access appropriate support mechanisms
- discuss, demonstrate and implement appropriate behaviour management techniques
- utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development.
