What works in...Improving Participation in Service Delivery and Design
This course is aimed at both qualified and unqualified staff
Aim
To enable those working with children and young people within the health and social care sector to explore the issues, challenges and opportunities to increase young people’s participation in service delivery and design.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of what meaningful children and young people participation is
- identify issues, challenges and barriers to participation by children and young people which may exist in their organisation, and some solutions which may work in their setting
- use a variety of tools and strategies to support and improve participation for children and young people within their organisation
- enable children and young people to participate in service delivery and design
- utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development within this area.
