This course is aimed at both qualified and unqualified staff
Aim
- To provide an experimental learning opportunity, that develops and utilises participants self awareness and knowledge of their client group.
- To identify types of resistance and develop ways of increasing a cooperative alliance with families.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- understand and consider a theoretical framework of how people interact, and how to apply this understanding in direct work with children, young people and their parents/carers
- use a variety of tools and strategies to support and improve ability in working directly with families
- develop practical ways of maximising opportunities for families to initiate their own changes
- utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development.
