What works in…Positive Behaviour and Conflict Management

Aim
- To develop staff’s skills and confidence to work with challenging behaviours in effective, safe and restorative ways.
- To reflect on personal and professional responses to confrontation and develop strategies that keeps service users and staff safe.
- To develop skills – that can be utilised through Care Planning, which increase service users’ emotional intelligence and life skills.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to;
- demonstrate an understanding of the different responses to stress, and how to work with these
- apply strategies to increase stress tolerance levels, that enable safety and positive relationships to be maintained
- demonstrate and apply appropriate techniques of responding successfully
- utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development.
