Aim
- To identify and define emotional risk and resilience factors of specific age groups and how resilience can be facilitated and developed through play
- To build on current understanding of psychological processes affecting mental well being
- To acknowledge the potential emotional impact upon workers, in order to support personal and practical effectiveness
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Identify and utilize a range of opportunities and resources accessible to workers that will help to develop play strategies that promote emotional resilience
- Develop a practical tool box, flexible enough for a diverse range of needs and abilities
- Link theory to practice based evidence for improved outcomes
- Utilise a frame work for reflective learning and continuing professional development
