Barnardo’s Hamara Project wins NTA Award
Barnardo’s is pleased to announce that The Hamara Project based in Walthamstow, East London has been awarded the Greater London Regional Award at the National Training Awards on 9 October 2007. It won for the training of parents and practitioners around Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Barnardo's Chief Executive, Martin Narey, attended the award ceremony with Ruth Watson, Children’s Services Manager, as well as some of the Hamara Training Team.
Ruth Watson said: ‘This is a fantastic recognition of the quality of the training Hamara provides to parents of children with autism and the practitioners who work with them. It would be great to see more parents and professionals nationwide given the knowledge and skills they need to support them in meeting the needs of children with autism'.’
The Awards are sponsored by City and Guilds who believe that the NTA awards offer a showcase of the very best of training and are truly a beacon of excellence.

The National Training Awards were set up 21 years ago to recognise excellence in training. Today, they are the premier accolade for training in the UK across all sectors and organisation sizes.
