Maureen McAteer headshot

Maureen McAteer

Project Director

Maureen joined the project in September 2014, following her appointment as Project Director. Maureen McAteer had most recently been working in a seconded post with the Scottish Government in the Early Years Collaborative Practice Team, working to improve outcomes for children, families and communities. Prior to that, Maureen was Programme Manager with the UK charity Action for Children where she worked on a variety of projects over a 13-year period. Maureen is responsible for the leadership of the project, reporting on the progress of the project to the Project Management Group and sharing the project's findings with stakeholders.

Vicky Wan

Project Manager

Vicky is currently on secondment to the Project from Barnardo’s Scotland. Her responsibilities involve supporting the local partnerships in the demonstration areas in embedding the role of third sector through a process of self-assessment and improvement planning. She has 12 years’ experience in the third sector. Most recently, she had worked for Voluntary Action Scotland for two years when it was newly established, supporting the Third Sector Interfaces (TSI) and co-ordinating TSI network activities. Prior to that, she managed various projects including a health collaborative between three CVS’s (Council for Voluntary Services) and two volunteer centres; a joint initiative between a Carer centre and Day Care Services; a racial equality organisation as well as a local community project in Edinburgh. She likes travelling, reading, music and movies in her spare time.

Raymy

Raymy Boyle

Project Manager

Raymy Boyle joined the team at the beginning of September 2016, working two days a week. Raymy trained as a Community Worker but has spent the last twenty-five years working closely with social work and education services, supporting vulnerable children and families. He has worked in a variety of roles in both the voluntary and statutory sectors across West Lothian, Edinburgh and East Lothian in operational, management and strategic roles. Before joining the team Raymy worked with East Lothian Council’s Children’s services Development Team, with a key responsibility for policy, strategy and training, including the on-going implementation of Getting it Right for Every Child.

Ronnie

Ronnie Gourley

Project Manager

Ronnie joins the project with a background in education.  After time spent in the classroom and in guidance roles in schools, Ronnie moved to work centrally in local authority posts, including that of Education Officer in Renfrewshire Council. He has many years’ experience of working collaboratively across departments, agencies and sectors including the area of Child Protection. In the project he has lead responsibility for the work with Argyll and Bute, Inverclyde, Moray, Renfrewshire and South Lanarkshire.

Nancy Fancott

Policy & Development Officer: Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland

Nancy Fancott is a policy and development officer with the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS). She works on a range of policy issues of interest to voluntary sector service providers, including local government funding and commissioning/procurement, regulation and workforce, and current Scottish Government policy initiatives ranging from the integration of health and social care and the wider public service reform agenda, to the Children and Young People (Scotland) bill. She also coordinates the CCPS Children and Young People Committee, which brings together a majority of the leading national charitable children’s service providers to strengthen their strategic policy engagement. She will be working one day a week on the The National Third Sector GIRFEC Project.
