Q. Who can access our services?

A. Families with children who live in the Coalfield area of Sunderland. i.e. Houghton, Hetton, Eppleton & Shiney Row wards. For access to Sure Start and allotment services you need to live in either the Eppleton or Hetton Wards.

Q.I have heard that you are doing something that I am interested in. How do I get involved?

A. You can either ring us or drop-in at any time when we are open. If there is no project worker to talk to you at this time, someone will take your name, address or contact details and a project worker will contact you in order to arrange a time for you to come along.

Q. Will it cost me anything?

A. There is no charge for our services. However, there are groups that run within our building that do their own fundraising in order to do activities, for example the Busy Bees Holiday Group.

Q. Is the information confidential?

A. We do not share information with anyone outside Barnardo’s or with any other service user without your consent unless we have reason to believe that someone is in danger or a criminal offence is being committed.
