Frequently asked questions

1. How can a child be referred to the service?

We welcome referrals from all statutory and voluntary agencies, including health visitors and also parents. Contact us at the service for a referral form or ask at any of the following primary schools; Blaenymaes, Cadle, Clase, Clwyd, Gors, Gwyrosydd, Portmead, Seaview and Townhill

2. We’re a busy household and haven’t got a room for you to use. Can our child still be referred to the service?

We understand the difficulties of busy households and can take your child out of the home environment for the work. Also we work in partnership with the local schools and can often visit your child in school.

3. My child doesn’t have any difficulties - she’s just shy and doesn’t make friends easily. Would she still benefit from one of your services?

In this situation small group work is particularly effective, encouraging team building with peers. All children benefit from this area of work and ultimately they find it fun.

4. At what age can my child get help from  the service?
