Sunrise Children's Centre is run by Kent County Council in partnership with Barnardo's. We are a purpose-built centre for disabled children, young people and their families. Sunrise exists to offer a variety of short break services to these families and facilities for other similar local voluntary organisations.
Barnardo's Sunrise Project provides holiday playschemes, after-school clubs and weekend clubs. Our services are for children aged 4-18 with disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex medical needs.
Over the years we have expanded to run our services in other areas of South West Kent but most of our work is at Sunrise, at the heart of our local community, where we offer...
- A vibrant and well-suited facility for disabled children and young people
- Soft play room
- Multi-sensory room and garden
- Jacuzzi spa
- Plenty of play space - indoors and out
Kent County Council runs “The Den” at Sunrise – an overnight, six-bedded short breaks service. Sunrise is used by a number of other community organisations as a meeting place or leisure facility for disabled children and young people.
