Parents and carers
In 2006, the Ofsted report praised the school for involving parents and pupils in important decisions. We like to involve parents in their child’s education as much as possible, even though our pupils come from all over the country and often their families and carers do not live close by the school.
Our staff are in weekly contact with our pupils’ parents or carers, who are free to contact the school at any time with concerns they may have or just for an update on their child’s progress.
In addition, we:
- encourage parents to ring us and arrange a visit to the school
- send class reports home at the end of each half term
- invite parents to special end of term events, including the Christmas concert, prize giving and sports day.
