Anti-bullying policy
Bullying is unacceptable. Our staff will always act to address bullying at all levels while providing opportunities for children to develop an understanding of acceptable forms of behaviour.
We adopt a constructive approach to dealing with bullying. Our experience shows us that positive reinforcement of good behaviour is more effective than punishment of bad behaviour. We always ensure that the child understands that it is the behaviour that is not acceptable and not the child as a person.
Some forms of bullying cannot be managed within the school and may require a child protection referral and/or police involvement.
