Admissions and referrals
If you wish to make a referral to the school, please download and complete the placement enquiry form and forward referral papers to the school.

If you wish to discuss a referral please contact us and ask for the Principal (Linda Nelson), Deputy Principal (Linda Jude) or Head of Care (Lynn Johnson).
Local authorities, parents and carers
Pupils are usually referred to the school by their local authority (education and/or social services). We welcome visits from local authority representatives who are interested in placing a young person or would simply like to gain a better understanding of the provision we offer.
Parents and carers are also welcome to visit and contact us for more information.
Admissions process
- On the basis of an initial written referral we will assess whether we can meet a young person's needs
- If we feel that we can meet the young person's needs then we will organise an initial visit to Springhill school and/or a visit to the young person's current educational setting
- The young person may then be invited for assessment
- Placements within the school are offered following assessment.
