Simpson Family Resource Centre

In their words

Throughout their involvement with the Centre, families are provided with information and a range of opportunities for discussions that allow them to express their view on the work they are involved in and to participate fully in decision making.

Examples of the written comments made by some of the families:

It has helped me understand my own feelings and realise that my four children need me to be a better parent and understand all their needs.

The centre has been very beneficial and enables people to talk freely.

I find the staff really easy to talk to, I don’t feel judged and can really relate to the things we talk about.

Everything I did was very useful; I never found anything I did at Simpson not to be useful at sometime.

The centre is a very pleasant and helpful place, and all the work carried out there is very worthwhile.

I think that the centre has been the most positive thing that has happened to me of late. I really enjoyed coming here and I miss it already. Thank you all!

It made me think!

Some of the children’s comments indicate that they have benefited from and also enjoyed the Centre:

It is a very good centre and you get to play and talk about stuff that worries you

Simpson is really fun, its cool playing pool. You can talk about stuff like what’s going on…like anything!

It helped my family out as well as me.

The referring social worker is also asked to comment on the work completed with the family:

Simpson worked on all the issues identified at referral and the family benefited greatly from attending the centre.

Simpson met all the issues identified at referral and the family benefited greatly from attending the centre.

I feel the centre works well with the Trust through regular telephone contact and reviews.

The service provided was excellent. This had a remarkable impact on the parents, who are now very insightful.
