ACCESSING EARLY INTERVENTION SUPPORT
The Early Intervention Support Service is a voluntary service. Families can self-refer into the service or a referral can be made from any professional involved with your family.
For further information or to make a self-referral, contact Pauline Price on 02891 271538.
HOW WE CAN HELP
The EISS service offers short term (approx 12 weeks) support in your own home to families with children 0 – 18 years who have additional needs or are facing challenges that are difficult to overcome, for example:
• Issues at school
• Behavioural difficulties
• Coping with illness or bereavement
• Family difficulties
• Domestic Abuse
• Parent/Relative in prison
• Difficulty with developmental or health related issues
We have 3 full-time and 1 part-time Project Workers. A Project Worker will meet with you and your child/children to help identify your needs and strengths and to develop a plan of work.
WHAT WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE
By working together with you and your children for a short time (approx. 12 weeks) we hope to help your family find ways of managing change positively and overcoming obstacles you may face.
We hope that the help we provide will empower you to overcome future difficulties.
We also aim to help you identify your strengths, and the people and organisations you can turn to for help.
WHY WE DO THINGS THIS WAY- OUR VALUES
Barnardo’s, like many organisations, has a set of principles and values, which inspires its work and relationships. Our values are influenced by many belief systems from all over the world as well as the Christian faith and they guide us to work fairly and respectfully with people.
