Policy and Influencing in Scotland

Barnardo’s Scotland engages with external organisations to bring about positive change for children, young people and families within Scotland. We do this through:

  • promoting the experience and practice of Barnardo’s services
  • liaison with Scottish Government Ministers and civil servants
  • briefing members of the Scottish Parliament, local authorities and other agencies, in collaboration with other groups engaged in work on children and young people’s issues in Scotland.
