Admissions

Admission to Spring Hill can be made at any time of the year, subject to:

  • Availability of space in either the residential or day pupil units and year group
  • Statement of Special Educational Needs
  • Support of referring local education authority and/or social services department
  • Active parent or carer support and participation
  • A belief that the school can meet the needs of the young person and the pupil's own wish to attend Spring Hill

Admission process

  • Initial enquiries to be made to the Head Teacher
  • Referral documentation to be sent to the school, eg SEN statement, social reports, medical reports etc
  • Initial visit is arranged to school
  • Staff from school may visit the young person in current educational setting or their home setting if it's felt necessary
  • If it is felt that needs can be met then a trial placement of 6 weeks is set up. If this is successful it continues on into a permanent placement.

The school’s catchment area is nationwide and we currently accept pupils from over 20 different local authorities. If you wish to discuss making a referral, then please contact the school in the first instance and speak to the Principal.
