High Close School is located in Wokingham, Berkshire between Reading and Bracknell.
High Close is a non-maintained residential and day special school catering for pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. It forms part of the educational provision offered by Barnardo’s.
It is a purpose built school with four separate modern residential units. The school building has excellent classroom provision for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils, and extensive attractive grounds, and this provision allows us to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum meeting all the requirements of the national curriculum.
Our excellent residential provision offers modern purpose built accommodation for up to 10 boys and girls in each of our four units. High Close School can cater for 40 boarders and 30 day pupils.
Our unique Field Social Work department provides support to pupils and parents during term-time and holiday periods as well as providing aftercare support to our leavers for the first year after they leave High Close.
