Barnardo’s Salford Families Project
Barnardo’s Salford Families Project provides a citywide service for families where there is a child or young person with a disability. We can help any family living in Salford who has a disabled child up to the age of 18 years old and require help and support.
The project supports families who are caring for a disabled child, enabling them to have a break from caring whilst providing a positive experience for their child. We run a variety of services which can help families cope with the range of emotional and practical difficulties they may experience.
All children eligible to go on Salford’s Disability Records can use our services. This means the children across the city who have a disability and need a lot of extra help. For Salford this covers just over 500 children who have a range of physical or learning difficulties.
