What we do

Salford Cornerstone is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Our core hours are 8.30 – 4.30.

The team offer a number of services including;

• Individual therapeutic work with children up to the age of 18 (or up to 25 if they have been cared for by the local authority) in respect of sexual abuse or sexualised behaviours.

We provide group-work programmes in the following areas:

• For young people with learning difficulties who are felt to have problematic sexualised behaviours,

• For the young people’s parent’s

• Sexual abuse recovery group for young women

We provide Consultation to multi-agency professionals.   

Additionally, we write and deliver training programmes to single and multi-agency professionals and foster carers on:

• Sexual Abuse

• Communicating with Children and Young People

We also develop resources to support work undertaken.
