Safer Futures

Safer Futures is a long established service in the North West that helps young people involved in risk behaviours move forward to safer lifestyles.
The service has evolved to include three areas of safeguarding work:
- young people displaying sexually harmful behaviour
- young people who go missing or runaway from home or local authority care
- those involved in or at risk of sexual exploitation.
We also provide support to their families and carers where needed and facilitate consultation and training to other professionals.
Safer Futures works in partnership with a number of local authorities in the North West: Wigan, Greater Manchester, Wirral, Halton, and Knowsley who co-fund the service.
We take referrals from social workers in our partner authorities for individual assessment and therapeutic work with young people.
