Break the cycle - online ad
Every day we work with hundreds of children and young people like the girl in our Break the Cycle advert.
Evidence shows that children who are most at risk of criminality and antisocial behaviour are also those who are the most disadvantaged – they come from the poorest families and communities, have the poorest educational experiences and are more likely to suffer from poor health, including mental health.
We work with young people to break the cycle of disadvantage, offering solutions to help children in trouble turn their lives around.
- Barnardo’s runs 12 services which support young people who have committed offences, and many more that work with parents who are on orders from the court.
- These services are not an easy option: the young people have to make amends for their actions and must attend activities and education, which help them see another way forward.
