Refer 2 us - young people's participation in Northern Ireland
Refer 2 us are a group of 8 young people aged 16-22 years.
They wanted to be the voice of children and young people within Barnardo's Northern Ireland and have participated in various training over the last 2 years to enable them to do this.
They conducted a consultation with approx 150 children and young people around what they need to feel ‘Safe and Happy’ in Northern Ireland. You can read the results in the report here (PDF), and view the posters produced here (PDF).

The Refer 2 Us group recently consulted with children and young people within Barnardo’s to get a better understanding of the factors which shape and influence identity and well being. The key messages have been produced by the group and have been distributed to Services, Local Government and other organisations.
