How to apply for a place

Barnardo’s Rachel House project does not provide emergency accommodation. This means that people cannot simply turn up and be given a place to stay. If you are homeless and need emergency help you should contact the homeless section at Bury Town Hall on 0161 253 5000.

There is an application form, called an SP1 form, to fill in and all applicants are invited to visit the project before being considered. We try to do this as quickly as possible.

Young people can

• apply themselves, or through a family member or friend

• be referred through a Statutory Agency, such as, Social Services, Housing Department or Youth Offending Team

• be referred by a youth worker or community or support group.

Directions

• Come off the M66 at Junction 2, turning left towards Bury.

• At the first traffic lights turn right onto Wash Lane.

• After the garage on the left, turn left onto Willow Street.

• At the end of this Street turn right onto Bell Lane.

• Take next left onto Coppice Street, this turns into Mossfield Close and Rachel House is on the right.
