What we do
The Peepul Family Resource Centre is a Barnardo’s Family Centre offering a range of services for families with a child aged 0 to 18. We are located in Croydon and have links with Croydon's children, young people and learners department as well as with Croydon's Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service. (CAMHS)
All of our services are available to other Local Authorites and costs can be discussed by contacting the Family Centre.
We aim to work in partnership with families and referring agencies,in order to provide a range of services that enable children to achieve their potential and enhance family life.
Our name, Peepul, derives from a tree that is associated with change and fufilling potential.
Therapeutic services
Services are provided in a range of different ways depending on the need of the individual child, family, parent, couple or sibling group.

We use a range of theoretical interventions including:-

Families can attend over a period of weeks or months depending on individual needs. There will be regular reviews to evaluate our work and progress made.
Community based complex Assessments
The model of assessment we use is centred around ‘The Assessment of Family Competence, strengths and difficulties.’ (2001) developed by Liza Bingley – Miller and Dr A. Bentovim. In addition we can include a psychological and cognitive assessment for adults and children as well as a detailed profile for each adult and child.
Our assessment service offers the family and professionals involved a clear understanding of the functioning of this family that then allows planned decision making.
