What we do

Bradford Parent Partnership Service provides help for parents/carers whose children are experiencing difficulties in education and strives to help parents/carers play an active and valued role in their children’s education.

Parents/carers are allocated a key worker who then provides ongoing support and advice about special education needs provision and the decisions affecting their child in school.

When taking on a referral we will take some information which will be kept on file at the service. Please see our Privacy Notice (PDF) for details on how this information is kept.

Please click on the following link for a copy of our Impartiality Policy (DOC) which explains how we work to stay impartial while working together with parents/carers and other professionals to support children’s education.

As appropriate, specific issues raised by parents/carers about local provision are shared with the Local Authority (CBMDC) to influence future policy and practice.

The Parent Partnership Service also liaises with colleagues from across the Yorkshire/ Humberside region to develop good practice in supporting parents/carers of children with special educational needs.

Based within the Bradford Parent Partnership Service we also have a Choice Advice Service. This service provides support for all parents of children with or without Special Educational Needs through the transition between primary and secondary school.
