Residential placements consist of 6 self contained flats, all with 2 bedrooms. There is 24 hour cover by qualified social workers and residential workers experienced in child protection work. Services include:

  • ongoing programme of assessment
  • sessional work
  • parenting skills
  • couples work
  • preparation for life in the community
  • education
  • practical and emotional support
  • play skills
  • protection work
  • housing advice and
  • household management.

After Care Service

Regular community visits, including evening and weekend visits, focus on:

  • ongoing assessment and support of childcare
  • emotional support
  • establishing links in the community
  • exploring opportunities for education and employment
  • practical support
  • support for mothers who are separated from their children.

Visits are usually undertaken at times when families themselves have identified a need for extra support or when there are no other supports available. After Care visits can continue for several months after a residential placement at PACT has ended.
