Barnardo's PACT Project

Barnardo's PACT Project (Parent and Child Together) opened in 1986 offering accommodation, assessment and support to young women aged 16 to 24 years and their children aged from birth to 3 years. The project moved to a purpose built unit in 1993. The building contains 6 self-contained flats, which are fully furnished, as well as office accommodation.

The area is well served by public transport and local facilities. PACT is the only resource of its kind in Northern Ireland at present and receives referrals from across all Health and Social Services Trusts.

PACT offers a range of assessment and support services, which protect the child in need or at risk of significant harm, and enable the mother and child to remain together where appropriate.
