Barnardo's UK Adult Choir Competition will be held at Birmingham Town Hall on 23 March 2013.

There will be 4 categories:

Male choirs under 40 choristers on stage
Male choirs over 40 choristers on stage
Female choirs under 40 choristers on stage
Female choirs over 40 choristers on stage

Choir competition rules

Prizes will be awarded to first place in each of the 4 categories, and all 8 choirs will compete again later in the day for the ‘Choir of Choirs’ trophy. The four winning choirs above will also win the honour of either singing at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2013 or Westminster Cathedral in December 2013.

The ‘Choir of Choirs’ will also win a commissioned piece arranged especially for them.
