What we do

Barnardo's Neville Street Service was launched on Friday 3rd August 2001 and has since continued to support children and families from Black and Minority Ethnic communities through the provision of a range of services.
The children and families using these services are often experiencing difficulties in parenting and in accessing other services due to cultural issues, language barriers or discrimination. The aim is to build self esteem and confidence in parenting capacity. Language support is provided to help families fully participate in decision making processes. Children are supported through a variety of high quality play and learning opportunities, activities and educational trips, and after school clubs. A multi cultural perspective is incorporated in all activities.
