Battle ‘by no means over’ warns Barnardo’s as Welfare Reform Bill clears parliament

As the Welfare Reform Bill cleared parliament, Barnardo’s Chief Executive Anne Marie Carrie warned,

The battle to safeguard the financial security of the poorest is by no means over now that the Welfare Reform Bill has become an Act.

The Government now needs to ensure that the most vulnerable children and their families are protected as decisions are made regarding how the Act will be implemented.
