Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal Volunteer for Barnardo's

Models and Barnardo’s supporters Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal spent an afternoon working the tills of the Barnardo’s flagship store on George Street, London, W1.
The girls donated their time to encourage more people to volunteer for their local Barnardo’s shop. As well being trained up as shop volunteers, Daisy and Alice scouted the boutique for some vintage finds. Items in Alice’s haul included a day bag, a selection of dresses including a vintage tea dress which Alice quickly customised into a funky mini, and an antique photo frame for her new pad.
Barnardo’s stores have a reputation for housing priceless celebrity finds, with stars including Kate Winslet, Dame Shirley Bassey and Holly Willoughby choosing to donate their vintage designer pieces to the children’s charity.
Daisy Lowe said:
Please come and volunteer for Barnardo’s, the kids really need your help. You don’t have to give much time and it’s easy… and fun!
David Booker, Director of UK Volunteering at the charity adds:
Barnardo’s relies heavily on volunteers to run its nationwide network of 363 shops and we desperately need extra pairs of hands. In the current economic climate, people may not have money to donate to charity, but Barnardo’s would really appreciate any spare time you could give.
Other celebrity customers spotted in Barnardo’s stores have ranged from Joanna Lumley to Gok Wan!
