St Andrews home of Golf - And Ghosts

Barnardo’s Scotland bookshop (Barnardo’s Books) in St Andrews is honoured to have been chosen to host the launch of two unique books to Fife, Ghosts of St Andrews and Ghosts of Fife.

What: Ghost Story Book Launch and signing - Ghosts of St. Andrews and Ghosts of Fife

When: Saturday 23 November 2013 – All Day

Where: Barnardo’s Scotland Book Shop 43 Bell Street, St Andrews, Fife

The books author, Fifer - Richard Falconer (49) is a former member of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research (SSPR) in Edinburgh and has extensive knowledge about the supernatural and ghostly goings on in St Andrews and Fife.

Richard said:

“St Andrews is not only the home of Golf it is also the home of Ghosts! This is the most comprehensive collection of first-hand accounts, ghost stories, ghostly legends and tales St Andrews and Fife has ever seen.”

This is the first time a book has been written solely devoted to the many Ghosts of Fife. The book includes research and material spanning over hundreds of years, it also includes a trail of 25 haunted castles.

Staff and volunteers at Barnardo’s Books in St Andrews are very excited about the upcoming event and are looking forward to hearing about Richard’s ghostly experiences. The shop is a well-loved Bookshop made possible by the generous donations from the community.  Thirty per cent of the sale of each book will go to Barnardo’s Books.
