Response to Met Police criminal inquiry launch into Jimmy Savile abuse claims

"Barnardo's is saddened and shocked by the scale of abuse that Scotland Yard has so far uncovered as part of Operation Yewtree."

"It is important that allegations of child abuse are taken seriously and we support the request for anyone with information to come forward."
