What we do

Whilst the service is essentially about contributing towards an improvement in the city’s employment rates, it is understood that residents will be at various stages of readiness for work and will engage with services at various stages of a continuum.

• For those furthest from the labour market the emphasis will be on increasing community engagement to build confidence and networks, increase awareness of opportunities and build capacity for progression.
• For other residents further along the continuum the aim is to improve access to and engagement with education, training and employment.
