Main Pay Scale (teachers) – dependent upon experience and skills

Plus SEN allowance

Ideally to start January 2016 – start date negotiable

We require an experienced teacher who can;

•Deliver Maths and English to GCSE level

•Experience of teaching vocational subjects (including BTEC) and ideally PE/Sport

•Support the curriculum across the school

•Continue to raise standards of education whilst supporting the individual development needs of the students in the school

And who has;

•An up-to-date knowledge of current educational practice within mainstream education

•Experience of teaching a wide range of pupils from different social and cultural backgrounds

•Ability to teach and work with challenging pupils who exhibit physically and verbally abusive behaviour

As a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS you will have consistently demonstrated outstanding teaching within your own practice, with an excellent track record of CPD, planning, delivery and classroom management with a strong commitment to delivering the best outcomes for individual students. In addition you will be adept in ensuring that all students are fully prepared and supported for life beyond school.

Knowledge of delivering vocational qualifications would be advantageous. GCSE or Functional Skills Maths and/or English delivery would be desirable as would the ability to deliver physical education.

Salary Scale – Barnardo’s 14-17 (£16,296 to £17,431) plus £1203 p.a. LSA allowance.

Pro-rata for 39 weeks of the year

Ideally to start Jan 2016 – start date negotiable

We require 2 x Learning Support Assistants who can;

•Support teaching and learning across the school

•Support the curriculum across the school

•Relate well to children and adults

And who have;

•A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a classroom setting

•Experience of working with difficult and demanding young people

•A flexible approach combined with patience, tolerance and stamina

•A willingness to undertake further training
