Hours: 32.5 per week - term time only

Salary : £14171.83 - £15614.80 plus £1020.51 LSA allowance (pro-rata for 39 weeks of the year)

Ideally to start Summer 2018 (start negotiable)

We require Learning Support Assistants who can;

•Support teaching and learning across the school

•Support the curriculum across the school

•Relate well to children and adults

And who have;

•Experience of working/or willingness to work with young people with challenging behaviours

•A flexible approach combined with patience, tolerance and stamina and humour

•A willingness to undertake further training

You may be required to work anywhere within Meadows School (across Key Stage 2-5, preferences will considered).

Meadows School is going through an exciting time of expansion: opening a junior school, offering education for key-stage 2 SEMH students. We are looking to recruit a full time teacher, who is trained in the current primary National Curriculum; someone who is able to adopt a flexible and solution focussed approach in teaching both challenging and vulnerable students. It is imperative that you have the passion for making a difference to the education and lives of the young people within the school and in building positive and supportive relationships. You should be a team player, resilient and motivated by challenge and have the ability to think creatively. You will need to be willing to work to Barnardo's Basis and Values.

You will need to be an inspiring practitioner, who is able to deliver a differentiated curriculum to students who are disengaged, with depressed literacy and numeracy skills and low self-esteem. You would need to be fit and able to conduct TCI (therapeutic Crisis Intervention) holds and physical restraints, once fully trained. You will work in a small dedicated team, where a proactive and flexible approach is required. The maximum number of students on roll in ks2 will be 24, split over 3 classes.
