Drama
Drama features strongly in the curriculum. All pupils have the chance to improvise, create and act in small groups. Their filmed performances are enjoyed by the whole school in assemblies. They work towards Entry Level Certificate standards and the numbers achieving successful level 3s are steadily increasing.
There is an annual Christmas pantomime where pupils are involved in all the elements of production. Sell-out performances include “Little Red Riding and Her Blue Hoodie”, “Treasure Island of the Caribbean” and “The Wizard of Meadozz.”
Pupils can join an after-school club in the company of their peers from local secondary schools, linked to the Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells and the school has recently started an increasingly popular film club.
In Year 10 our student’s work is assessed and certified by the Welsh Joint Educational Committee (WJEC).
