What we expect of young people

Whatever your problem, whoever you are or no matter how you are feeling, we will expect you at all times to:

  • try to sort out your problems by discussion
  • not to be violent, verbally or physically
  • not to make personal or hurtful comments, or intimidate other people
  • not to behave in a racist, sexist or anti lesbian or gay fashion
  • treat our workers with respect - don’t put them in compromising situations like carrying on any criminal or illegal behaviour in front of them, being drunk or using illegal drugs in their presence
  • try to be in when we’ve made an appointment to come and see you, or let us know beforehand if you can’t make it
  • remember our Workers are each involved with a number of young people, not just you and therefore may not always be able to deal with you first. - be patient!
  • show respect for other young people using our service

Whilst in Monton Street Building:

  • do not smoke in the building
