FAQ’s

Q. Are your services free for all?

A. Our services are free at the project, however there are a number of services that there is a charge for. This includes the milk service, where service users can buy milk at a reduced price, and our after-school service which is charged at a sessional rate. Please contact the project for details.

Q. Is your project open at weekends?

A. Our project is open from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. After-school facilities run until 6.00pm. The girls group runs at the project from on a fortnightly basis on Saturday mornings from 11.00am - 1.00pm.

Q. Do you have crèche facilities?

A. Services provided by Dewsbury College have a number of crèche facilities. We do not provide a crèche facility however if we facilitate groups then we try our best to arrange crèche.

Q. Do you have language skills?

A. We have a number of workers who have various language skills. This includes Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati. If we do not have the language skill we will arrange for an interpreter to be present at no cost to our service users.

Q. Do you have services for male service users?

A. We are in the process of developing new services for male service users. Please contact the project for further details.

Q. Can I come for help at any time?

A. You can contact the project between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm where your query will be noted. If the matter is not urgent then our duty officer will contact you after 1.00pm. You can contact the duty officer for information or advice between 1.00pm and 4.30pm by phone, visiting the project, or at our outreach surgeries in Huddersfield at Thornton Lodge and Women Space. Our aim is to assist you as best as possible. If we cannot then we will suggest other relevant services.
