Salary: £8.45 per hour

Barnardo's Thrive Services, in partnership with Inverclyde HSCP delivers a range of support services to children and young people with additional support needs across the whole of the Inverclyde HSCP area. Children, young people and their families accessing the service receive a range of individualised service provision in order to supports them to participate within their wider communities, and to develop peer relationships reducing social isolation.

As an As & When Assistant Project Worker you will have the opportunity to deliver a range of direct services to children and young people including individual befriending sessions, home sitting sessions, and working in groups under the guidance of a Project Worker. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the wider development of service provision.
You will need enthusiasm, creativity, energy and a genuine interest in working with and supporting children and young people with additional support needs.

The above services for children and young people are carried out after school hours, in the evening and at weekends and as such availability at these times is a requirement. There is also some work carried out during the day and in school holiday periods.
