How can we help?

If you have a child who has a disability, or a child who is a carer, you can refer the child to the short-break service.

We would encourage you to speak to your social worker if you have one. They may be able to help you to access not only Barnardo's Home from Home project but also other support services. Social workers have referral forms for Barnardo's Home from Home project, but we will send you one direct if you contact the project.

If you want to find out about becoming a carer then please phone or email us and request an information pack. It contains details of short break and full-time care, and gives more information about what is involved.

You can also phone and speak to a member of staff who will be pleased to answer any questions you may have. They can visit you at home and speak to the whole family if this would be helpful.

We are happy to provide as much information as you need to decide if caring is for you.
