Barnardo's Aberdeen Home from Home project provides family based and specialist fostering services for disabled children, and children affected by disability, in Aberdeen.

The short break service supports families who are caring for a disabled child, enabling them to have a break from caring whilst providing a positive experience for their child.

It also enables children who care for a parent or sibling with a disability to have time out from the responsibility of caring.

When a child cannot live with their birth family, Barnardo's Home from Home project provides an alternative family who can care for the child for as long as is needed – from a few days, to a few months. We also recruit carers who can offer a permanent home to a child who needs long-term care.
