Parents and Carers

The school's approach to all aspects of behaviour, learning, enrichment and care is exceptional.   Parent View, Ofsted 2017

Parents and carers are very important to High Close School. We believe regular communication is essential to the success and wellbeing of our pupils. Positive events or achievements can be shared while problems or issues can be discussed and solutions explored.

Our field social work team are also on hand to offer support and advice to parents and carers.

We greatly enjoy sharing pupils successes at school and every year parents and carers are invited to join us for:

  • Our Prize Giving ceremony
  • Their child’s Year 11 Leaver's Celebration
  • Parents Evening

We also strongly encourage parents and carers to attend:

  • Their child’s annual review
  • Their child’s six-monthly review

Parents and carers are in a unique position to equip school and care staff with information regarding their child’s comforts, worries and abilities and we are always keen for them to share those with us. They also help school staff make education an enjoyable time for their child by working with us.

We recently conducted a survey of parents and carers. They were asked to respond to statements regarding the service High Close offers.
