Day pupil facilities
Day care may be suitable for young people who live closer to the school or who’d benefit from a different kind of balance between school and home life.
Much like our boarders, day pupils have their own unit, called Redwood, which provides a place for them to go when not in lessons. It is fully equipped with:
- a sizeable lounge
- a well-equipped games room
- a computer room (offering Internet access)
- kitchen – there is also a breakfast club before school begins.
The unit is staffed by:
- a unit manager
- deputy unit manager
- four project workers, with extra help from school staff at lunchtimes.
The unit remains open after school for a while to accommodate those day pupils who wish to pursue extra-curricular activities.
