Behaviour policy
High Close actively praises and supports positive behaviour, but equally we will challenge a pupil over poor behaviour, and persistent rule breaking may lead to the application of sanctions.
As such, we provide clear guidance for breaches of conduct and ask our pupils to abide by these rules to ensure the safety and well-being of all our pupils.
Team Teach
We have recently adopted Team Teach as our school behaviour management system, and we’re happy to report that the number of sanctions and physical interventions, when a pupil has had to be restrained by a member of staff until they regain self-control, has noticeably decreased since the introduction of this approach.
All our staff are now trained in this system and regular updates are a feature of our training programme.
