Hear 4 U

Barnardo’s Hear 4 U provides an independent accessible advocacy service for children and young people in South Ayrshire (0-20) and Dumfries and Galloway (0-18). The Hear 4 U project is one of two Barnardo’s rights based Advocacy services in Scotland offering advocacy to children and young people.

The foundation of our service is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and in particular Article 12 which states that children and young people have a right to have a say in decisions that affect them. We aim to provide children and young people with an advocate who will make them aware of their rights under the UNCRC and support them in putting their views across.

Underpinning our work are the following values:
