Events management
What ever you choose for your event idea, Barnardo's student programme team can offer you advice and practical support with:
- the principles of event management: preparing and using an effective event proposal
- legal stuff: licenses, risk assessment and insurance
- finance: planning your budget and raising funds
- marketing and media: securing sponsors and getting people to your event
- promotional materials: posters, invitations, badges, stickers, balloons, t-shirts etc.

Childcare or social work placements
Placements at Barnardo’s projects are available throughout the UK for Childcare and Social Work students. Please contact your local Volunteer Development Manager to apply for a placement with Barnardo's or just to find out more. Please note the Student Programme can't help set up Children's Service placements.
