Raids and mega raids
If visiting a new city for the weekend sounds like your idea of fun, then why not think about taking part in one of Barnardo’s raids or mega raids?
Raids
Throughout the year, collections take place in cities such as Sheffield, Bristol, Chester, Cambridge and Edinburgh and we would love you to represent Barnardo’s and collect funds on our behalf.
Everything is provided including a Barnardo’s T-shirt*, collection bucket*, stickers, permit and authorisation card, all you need to do is bring your lovely smile and cheery persona! Check out our instructions for first time collectors.
Mega Raids
For extreme collecting, then a mega raid is for you. Join us as we spend the weekend collecting with RAG groups from University RAG groups around the UK where the golden rule is to have fun whilst FUNdraising.
Just because we’re nice, we’ll throw in:
- free accommodation
- a free evening meal
- free breakfast
- lunch discounts
- evening entertainment
- help with travel to the location
Oh and you’ll get the chance to spend time with the lovely Barnardo’s team, what more could you ask for?
Our well established mega raids include the Great Geordie Gallivant, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Kilt Tilt and Wales Wonderland plus there are plenty more new locations to come over the year. Take a look at our permit list for Spring 2011 to see what’s coming up soon.
